Call for self-nomination from the AKKA Directors via e-mail. Jan 5, 2009
Last day to send in nominations Jan 14, 2009
Verify the nominations Jan 15, 2009
Request brief bio data from the nominees Jan. 16, 2009
Last day to send bio data Jan 20, 2009
Last day to withdraw nomination Jan 20, 2009
Paper ballots will be mailed to AKKA Directors with a choice of voting by paper ballot or online through the Agency’s website

Note: Director can vote either by paper ballot or online and not both.
If voted by both means, the paper ballot will be used.

Last day to request replacement ballot (online ballot only)
Replacement online ballot can be requested by sending an e-mail to:

AKKA Charity - Sankara Eye Hospital - Bangalore
Sankara Eye Hospital-Bangalore Sankara Eye Hospital was inaugurated in Bangalore on March 9th. AKKA is proud to be a partner in this hospital with a contribution of $100,000. AKKA is planning to conduct free eye-clinics in rural areas of Karnataka.

  • AKKA Charity Foundation Committee (ACF) in coordination with 13 Kannada Kootas conducted Mamoranjani live entertainment program across USA and raised over $70,000. These funds will be donated to various educational institutions in Karnataka for meeting the educational needs of underprivileged children. More information will be posted soon
  • AKKA has donated nearly $20,000 to Hampi University in Karnataka towards "Kuvempu Samagraha Kavya" work.
  • AKKA has donated $7,000 towards Tsunami Relief efforts.
